A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between CAAS and Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), MOFCOM during Mr. Sun Zhonghe, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of AIBO’s vist to CAAS on March 10th, 2023. Mr. Sun Tan, Vice President of CAAS participated in the event.

Mr. Sun Tan reviewed the cooperation with AIBO and reaffirmed the appreciation of the support from AIBO. With the collaboration with AIBO, CAAS has strengthened its links with Central Asian countries in fields of cotton breeding, digital agriculture and soil testing through international training. Such Foreign-Aid training plays a significant role in reinforcing international economic and technological cooperation, promoting technological innovation and dissemination and supporting knowledge exchanges between relevant industries. It benefits international partnership building and China's global impact as well. In the future, CAAS will rely on its existing R&D forces, expert teams, technology advantages, international resources and other advantages to deepen cooperation of Foreign-Aid training with AIBO in fields of crop science, plant protection, animal disease prevention and control, resources and environment, agricultural product processing, agricultural machinery and beyond.

Mr. Sun Zhonghe stated that the agricultural Foreign-Aid training program is national-level program. Based on mutual advantages and good will, AIBO hopes to promote further contact jointly and continuously with CAAS, so as to expand channels of training for agricultural aid and enhance the presence of China's foreign agricultural technical assistance around the globe.

After the communication, Mr. Sun Zhonghe and Mr. Sun Tan signed the MOU on behalf of AIBO and CAAS respectively.
