A multidecadal and county level analysis on the effects of land use, Bt cotton planting and weather on cotton pests in China (Prof. Lu Yanhui at the Institute of Plant Protection of CAAS and researchers from International Food Policy Research Institute, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences)

Prof. Lu Yanhui at the Institute of Plant Protection of CAAS and researchers from International Food Policy Research Institute published an article titled "A multidecadal and county-level analysis on the effects of land use, Bt cotton planting and weather on cotton pests in China" in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The result showed that Bt-based plant resistance is an effective way for integrated pest management and highlighted the potential for unexpected outcomes resulting from the agro-ecosystem feedbacks and the importance of climate. It provides important information for developing sustainable management approaches of cotton pests in China.
